Donít Pay
for AOL

Stop Paying for AOL

Q: I recently switched from AOLís dial-up service to Time-Warnerís Roadrunner service. My daughter told me that I donít have to pay for AOL anymore and I can still keep my AOL email address. Is that true? Iíve used my AOL email address for years and I donít want to lose it. It has all of my contacts.

A: Yes, itís true - when Time-Warner merged with AOL, a lot of customers ended up essentially paying for TWO different Internet services that overlap each other.

A recent interview with an ex-AOL executive in the New Yorker estimated that as many as 75% of AOL's dial-up customers are paying for services they don't use.

If you have no need of AOL's dial-up service, you can convert your paid AOL account to a FREE account-- and keep all your existing AOL services (email, AIM, address book, etc.) Check your monthly statement, folks. If you are being billed for both Roadrunner and AOL dial-up, and want to convert to a free account, try calling the AOL "HelpĒ number (800-827-6364), or visit AOL's website here: http://tinyurl.com/5wg3nu3
